I had a headache this afternoon. We have 2 people at work, both of whom I like, but neither of them knows what an "inside" voice is. When they are both in the office at the same time it is unbelievably loud. Then of course, everyone else has to talk louder to be heard over the original talkers. Then you add in a plane coming or going and you have a recipe for a headache!

We apparently have a new black kitty. Black kitty has been hanging out in front of the house under where the upstairs hangs over the downstairs windows for the last 2 days. I am guessing mostly because it is dry there. Black kitty is beautiful, and doesn't seem to be scared of people, but won't come over to people either. Black kitty looked a little nervous when I took Kaluha out yesterday, but settled down when I out Kaluha back in the house.

Black kitty is NOT garage kitty. Garage kitty is black and white and scared the crap out of me yesterday when I went into the garage to get clothes for work. But I think I scared garage kitty too. Once garage kitty went out through the hole in the garage door, he/she sat there staring at me through the hole.

We made it to Friday Harbor yesterday. It was cold and a little wet, but not too bad. We spent WAY to much money! I spent a ton of money at the yarn store there. I only bought yarn that mother doesn't carry. I got a hank of Irish tweed, 2 balls of Scottish wool, 2 hanks of chunky baby alpaca, and a hank of hand dyed sock yarn from a small company in San Pedro, CA. And 2 hanks of a yarn from Vermont. The baby alpaca and the yarn from Vermont, mother carries some of their yarns but not the specific ones I bought. We hit 2 of the 3 bookstores in town. John got a ton of books. He ended up over the course of the weekend of finding all but 2 books in a 7 book series. We also found a book father had been looking for. Then we ended up at an antique store where John found a set pliers he wanted and a medical textbook from 1938 that he thought he NEEDED.
We had breakfast at the Hungry Clam. It was super good! We didn't run out of stuff to do until 3, which is good, but also meant we had an hour and a half to wait until our flight left. So we went and sat in this little park until it was time to go. Next time I think we will drive up and take the ferry, so that A) we can leave when we are done, B) we can wonder about the island, and C) when we buy heavy stuff we don't have to carry it around all day.

I made a chocolate swirl cheesecake last night. Then this morning I remembered that we are already having cake at work today. So I am trying to decide if I should take it or not. If I don't take it today, John will get into it and I won't be able to take it to work at all. Maybe I will leave it home since I generally take everything to work.

We made it to lunch. We had a good lunch. Lettie brought her granddaughter Tessa with her, probably because Tessa is sandwiched between 2 boys and needs girl time.

Once we got home I finished the 3rd towel for the store, now I can work more on Lettie's afghan. I also need to practice knitting.

And Detroit was the 1st team to clinch a play-off spot today. They also set a new NHL record for getting to 100 points for 9 consecutive seasons. GO WINGS!
